Starting swim lessons with children at an early age is highly recommended. Children as young as 6 months old can start learning how to swim. This will help with comfortability and confidence at an early age.

Yes! While infant lessons can be done as a private lesson with a parent in the pool, we recommend contacting us to schedule a group parent child lesson where you can have up to four families in the lesson. Parent Child lessons are for ages 6 months to 2 years old.

No. Only infant classes require a parent or guardian to be in the pool during the lesson. If your child is 3 years or older, we do not allow the parent to be in the pool during the lesson. If your child is extra nervous, we may ask a parent to sit by the pool for a little encouragement. Other than that, enjoy hanging out near by to watch your child learn new lifesaving skills while having fun.

All you need to bring is the following: Swimsuit Towel Goggles Kickboard (optional) Sunscreen Our instructors will have all the other tools that will be needed for the lesson.

Every child is different. Some students pick up on skills quickly and others need a little more time to be comfortable doing certain skills. Our goal at Meridian Swim is to build confidence at the pace of the student, all while focusing on learning lifesaving skills during each lesson.

On days with severe weather, we keep a close eye on the radar and news reports to make sure everyone stays safe. If it's an all day weather event we will send a notification the day before letting you know that the lesson has been cancelled. Some weather conditions that would affect the lesson: Thunderstorms Rain is ok; if thunder is heard during the time of the lesson, we will stop the lesson and exit as quickly as possible. You will receive a credit for the remainder of the time as long as we are not towards the end of the lesson. Cold temperatures Any other unsafe conditions that would require you to stay home. Lessons that are cancelled due to weather can either be rescheduled or you can receive a credit for a future lesson.
